Serious Poultry

Wow!! Just picked up our turkeys from being processed. So, there are now seven jumbo (a couple are EXTRA-jumbo) guys in the freezer. YUM!! We have some serious poultry - all home grown. :).

Yesterday evening, our Scouts went to Morningside (a retirement home) for a flag ceremony and patriotic service in honor of Veteran's Day. Here are some photos from this past Memorial Day when we joined all the Scouts in the region to place a US flag on every grave at the cemetery at Fort Sam. Over 100,000. Beautiful and sobering. .

Well, it's not Black Friday here. More like Bum Friday as it is 10:00 and we are all still in our pj's! We will have to get dressed soon though, as we are headed over to the Pipe Creek Christmas Tree Farm in a little while to get a Christmas tree. Will post pictures later today... .
