History Reenactment

The middle school honors history classes did a reenactment in the city park of the Boston Massacre, the Boston Tea Party and the Battle of Lexington. They even had one of the kids on horseback as Paul Revere riding through the park. Pretty cool! Here are a few of the colonials.

Yesterday evening, our Scouts went to Morningside (a retirement home) for a flag ceremony and patriotic service in honor of Veteran's Day. Here are some photos from this past Memorial Day when we joined all the Scouts in the region to place a US flag on every grave at the cemetery at Fort Sam. Over 100,000. Beautiful and sobering. .

Well, it's not Black Friday here. More like Bum Friday as it is 10:00 and we are all still in our pj's! We will have to get dressed soon though, as we are headed over to the Pipe Creek Christmas Tree Farm in a little while to get a Christmas tree. Will post pictures later today... .
