Kathryn in the watermelon dress, 9 months old

Image
This photo was scanned in with the Wolverine device from a negative. If you look closely at the photo, it has some small spots. I don't know if this is deterioration of the negative or dust. I will try this one again. And, of course, if it is just the way it is, Kathryn can do some of her Photo Shop magic and repair it. .

Gordon - Halloween 1958

Image
Here is Gordon on Halloween in 1958 in the infamous devil costume. What a cutie! I am testing out a gadget I got (from Costco, I think - I've had it a while and am just now trying it out) made by Wolverine that takes your film negatives or slides and makes them digital. Kind of cool. Not too difficult. This is from a slide from Grandy and PaPa processed in November 1958. Not a bad image for being almost 54 years old!! Good work Kodak! .

Tie Dye Cupcakes

Image
I made these today. They are too cute. Used a Duncan Hines white cake mix (NOT yellow). Made it according to the package directions. Divided the batter into fourths. Dyed each fourth a different color. (I used the Americolor dyes). Then, using my smallest scooper, one color at a time, scooped some of each into each cupcake liner. Use white liners so you can see the colors. Do not stir them. Made exactly 18 cupcakes. Then I iced them with vanilla buttercream and put festive sprinkles on the top. Easy and amazingly cute. .
